February. Goodbye! You've been hot, sticky. You go unlamented. I'm glad to see the end of this summer. The weather is changing now, a little cooler at the beginning and a bit more cooler at the end of the day. This morning at 4:30am in the dark I stepped outside onto the deck to fully absorb the earthy cold air through the pores of my skin. I could hardly get enough.
So glad, so glad. I want big autumn skies, the weight of the blanket on me at night, coolness, coldness, night fires, golden leaves, embroidery on my lap, a cat at my side, a tray of tea, stacks of books and gentle soft pink flowers, everywhere.
