I watched a young new mother the other day following her toddler around the park. She was there with her partner who looked as young but uninterested. At times she glanced longingly around the park at the groups of teenaged friends. I really felt for her all 'alone' with her toddler. I think as mother's we all have those times, especially in transition times of a new baby, but particularly when we have gone from a big group of friends to just you and the child at home 'alone' all day. I shed a tear for her, for me and for all the other mother's out there. I thought how important it is to have support and gave thanks for the support - though limited - that I have.
