Om mani padme hum - prayer wheel on the front door.
I've been relishing - as usual - in Alicia Paulson's blog and her delightful book, Embroidery Companion. Indira and I finished one of her Christmas decorations - the brown rabbit above. Looking at the photo now it seems we forgot to finish the nose. Indira is making the sweet headband from the book. I'm still working on the napkins - top photo - I think I have five to go! Does anybody else embroider as slow as I do? Certainly not an Aries trait - maybe it's my kapha. Anyway, I love it. I love doing the necessities for the home and sitting to sew. Part of me wishes for a housekeeper. We've been watching The Brady Bunch. I'd love Alice!!! I would have to have a driver, a shopper, a cleaner, two gardeners... have I mentioned this to you before?
I've been mainly at home since the 'end' of influenza. Pottering, slowly... it's not something I do. My Aries nature says, 'no there's no time for that, get a move on.' My Sagittarian rising; 'it's a beautiful day outside, so many possibilities!' I've been trying to rest in between a flury of activities. I had a job interview with a local church pre-school. It all went well until I said that I was polytheist. Poly what? asked the pastor looking intrigued. Polytheist, one God, many people sent to tell us how to live great, inspirational, loving lives... Dazla said, You can kiss that job goodbye Sweetie. Mmmm, oh well. I put in an application for another teaching job.
Have a beautiful weekend. We will be in the garden and in the backyard building the remaining part of the cubby house - fingers crossed it comes to near completion.
Love begins at home, and it is not how much we do... but how much love we put in that action.
