I spread myself thinly over a number of projects, jobs, commitments, people... It says it in my astrology.
I have four jobs; teaching, marking and coordinating in three separate locations. Actually make that 5 jobs if I count working as a mum. I write two blogs and manage 3 facebook pages. I'm a mother, a disciple, a wife, a friend. I try to practice living in the present. I try lots of things. I pray for consistency, strength and regularity.
I went to the Satyananda Yoga ashram on the weekend. The leaves were divine, everything was. There were so many people who gave in many different ways. One devotee Buddhimurti - from Queensland - shared a story of her yoga students. They participate in the 108 Surya namaskar Fundraiser and they donate their money to Sivananda Math. Buddhimurti said that over the past few years they have donated over $4000. Thank you for your inspiration. We sold a beautiful rug that was made by 94 year old Dorothy for $50. Many people took patterns to make jumpers for new born babies in India. We sold trinkets, a salwer kameez, lots of raffle tickets and we had many donations given for chai, cake, smoothies and fruit. Thank you to all the servers, the kitchen and everyone who was there. We made $523.30 and in half an hour I think that is fabulous!
We have lots more ideas for raising money and hope. If you would like a knitting pattern for a little babies jumper let me know.
Obaitori is on tomorrow evening starting at 7pm. I'll be teaching Vedic Mantras and we will be organising for the Red Tent in June. Hope to see you there. With Love, Katie xxx
