If I need constant reminding of divine timing, patience and tolerance I think I need a tatoo on my brain that screams out, "Take your iron tablet!!!" It is no wonder I need to up my levels, my life is busy, I have children, I bleed for five days once a month and I'm a woman.
Last week I had 2 days of pms where in the end I couldn't even bear myself! I had to rsvp 'no' to two events. My reason 'I can't come, I have pms, I'm staying home to look after myself. Thank you. Please invite me again soon.'
There are plenty of times that instead of treating my body like a temple, my treatment of it resembles an amusement park and when I burn-out at the end of the month, I'm kind of suprised! You?
This time I didn't even know my period was coming around. When Dazla offered me to go to the ashram for the weekend - a sure sign I needed time off - I took offence and said, "Well, I want us all to hang out over the weekend and when you say stuff like this I feel you are pushing me away!?" If I'm in a regular frame of mind, my bags would have been packed and I would be OUT the door. But I didn't even see this opportunity! I don't want to be like this anymore. I don't want to shout at my children, I don't want to get so irritable and cross and wake up feeling like I just want to go back to bed, anymore. I want to wake and feel angelic, balanced and full of light all of the time.
Katie, here are a few other things that you need to remember, as a woman to do every month*;
~ daily - take iron tablet, vitamin b, three evening primrose oils, practice asana, pranayama, yoga nidra - coming here soon - drink 3L of water daily, walk, rub clary sage on your belly, drink Female Balance or chammomile tea, eat well, go to bed EARLY, take your iron tablet, take your iron tablet, TAKE YOUR IRON TABLET.
~ ask for help.
~ plan for the event, mark on the calender when my period is due preferably in red where everyone can get ready for the big event - the children too, though unable to read will realise the meaning of red on the calender ; ), 2 days before start to slow down, try to schedule at least 2 days or 2 mornings off for yourself where you can rest, # do not go to the supermarket or anywhere there is fluorescent light #, soak in a bath, walk in nature, look at the sky, breath, love yourself.
There is also a Menstrual Calender available as a phone app. If you prefer there is an internet site that will help keep you organized here called monthlyinfo. These programs are really quite sweet, you simply put in your dates and it tracks your cycle of ovulation and menstration, you can also enter notes about your well-being.
*please feel free to take from my list and leave a comment if you think you can help me and others too!
