In anticipation of Mary MacKillop's canonization, taking place on Sunday in Rome, we went over to Holy Cross Church, South Kincumber. Mary spent some time here when she established the convent of the Sisters of Saint Joseph.
She supposedly slept in this little anterior room. One of her quotes; "Be faithful in the little things."
For Mary's full incredible & miraculous life story visit here.
Mary also established a children's orphanage. We walked around the gardens & recorded a little of what we saw.
The grotto. The first time we visited here, Indira had collected flowers along the way & she insisted that these flowers were for Mary. We were running behind her hoping that Mary was somewhere to be found. Low & behold she found this grotto. Mary MacKillop is kneeling in front of Mother Mary.
Bodhi offered his flower to Mary MacKillop.
Today marks the day of the Obaitori weblog's first anniversary. This flower is for you; the readers of Obaitori. Thank you very much for your kind comments. I have received so much positive feedback for this site. I will continue to gladly & with much joy, Love & enthusiam fullfill my Grandfather Guru's mission, Swami Sivananda of Rishikesh, "To take Yoga from door to door & shore to shore." Swami Sivananda was dedicated to the spiritual upliftment of all humankind and considered it the unique role and privilege of sannyasins to serve the world rather than be served.
Thanks again, Katie.
