We acknowledge that we are on the land of the Dakinjungal tribe, the traditional Aboriginal owners of this land. We promise to tend, caretake & honour our duty of this very precious and special place.
We were blessed with fine weather, lots of manual labour, resources & much enthusiasm for our first Community Garden day. The majority of the families who attend our school came to this very special day.
Friendships with the land, parents & children were created & forged with the emphasis on interconnection & interdependence.
We created the five mandala garden beds. The children planted crystals under each bed to further enhance the giving properties of the land.
The children had the opportunity to witness & be a part of the very special quality of giving.
What I heard many times today was, 'Look how happy the children are, look how happy the children are!'
We not only planted seeds, seedlings, plants & fruit trees but the seeds of hope & faith for our children, our Mother Earth. We invocated from our own hearts the qualities of kindness, giving, friendship, light & Love into our community & into our garden. & with this Love we know that both will grow with abundance, benevolence & ecstacy.
