Swami Sivananda said, serve, love, give. Of these three - he said 'give' was the most important. My wonderful soul sister, Helen rang yesterday saying that she had a whole lot of merchandise that had been given to her. She wanted to give it to our non-profit creative group, Stitches for Tibet. Of course I said yes. So her friend drove the donations around to my house. It was at this exact time my sister texted to tell me about the earthquake in Tibet. Hundreds have been killed in the Tibetan area of Yushu, Kham (Tibetan: Kyigundo) in present-day Qinghai. Shortly after I received many emails requesting money as assistance. The donations in my garage, at a glance look like about $2000 in all - I'm hoping we can sell it for $1000, or maybe more. If you want to donate, the International Tibet Campaign is a reputable group.
Let us pray, sending our Love out to all Tibetans & Chinese, animals & the land affected by this catastrophe.
Kang Rinpoche (Mount Kailash) Precious Jewel of Snows ~ Tibet.
I put this photo here for two reasons. Firstly to show the beauty & majesty of Tibet. The landscape is being ruined by the Chinese Government who are mining every thing they can get out of Tibet, gold, copper, oil & precious stone. They carry it away in trucks & via the train systems they have built. The result of this heavy mining, damns & logging is earthquakes, floods & other natural disasters. Tibet is also known as the roof of the world, the third pole. Almost half of the world's water begins up here in this plateau. Hopefully this earthquake will once again try to alert the world who will tell the Chinese Government to stop the destruction of this fragile, divine ecosystem, we know as Mother Earth (Khon Ma).
The second reason. I feel that there is real hope for the liberation of Tibet. We named our son, Bodhi Kailash Tiga. I do look to the children as the future but I know it is up to me to start where I am, right now. Free Tibet!
