As in most homes, tooth brushing with the children was becoming a bit of a battle ground. I decided to spice up the life of the ritual. I added some photos of people & animals brushing, a catchy tune, some new hair brush boxes, a bottle of water, a spit bowl (for each child), tissues, cloths & two new see-through boxes where the children could store their respective tooth brush & paste.
After showing them how to use the area, Indira promptly asked where the bell & candle were. I giggled ( & yes it's true, felt a little proud), thought about it & decided that this altar had enough 'stuff' on it. Consequently with everything in place, the children spent most of their waking day here.
Still brushing.
