After many days of grey skies and buckets of rain we eased into two straight days of sunshine and blue sky.
This was our weekend;
I completed or really started on my Reiki Masters, felt very humble and filled with light.
At every moment I went to photograph my camera was not in sight. I missed many opportunities but was possibly exposed to many more with it not in front of my face, you know what that's like.
At the beach the children ate ice creams. Bodhi was standing against a blue sky with a white shirt on holding a raspberry sorbet. We rode scooters, jumped off the stone walls and walked ankle deep in the fresh sea.
The children were impressed with a fire twirling show on Saturday night in the backyard. At one stage both Daz and I were twirling, I looked at him and said where is the other fire stick? With our poor supervision, Bodhi managed to pick up a stick, dip it in kerosene and was over at the outdoor belly stove lighting it. Aaah, oops!
Food; vegetable and barley soup, wholemeal rye stone bread, popcorn, chai, ravioli, scrambled eggs on rye, peach crumble and cream, mezza plates, rose water lassis.
My sinus problem - which I thought could be an accumulation of too much red wine? - turned into a head cold. I've declared war on my immune system and will make an appointment with my naturopath.
Danced to this outrageously fun Bollywood song. The original here, kicks in about 1:40 seconds.
Delighted in hearing about a friend's new baby.
I breakfasted in bed, thanks Dazla, and started re-reading Agatha Christie's autobiography.
The weekend is usually a 'party' at our house. For the children this means; bubble baths by candlelight, marshmallows on the fire, lots of singing and dancing, being swung in blankets. They are happy.
And with a pleasant look on his face most of the weekend, Yogi enjoyed the much awaited sunshine.
This is me twirling fire - which I have no idea how to do - I think the look on my face was when I realised that Bodhi was helping himself to the flames.
I'm joining Amanda and others over at Habit of Being today for Weekending.
How was your weekend? I hope it was a lovely weekend.
